We can obtain sign permits in the State of Florida and South Georgia.  Every county has different requirements.  Below are examples of information needed in certain counties and cities.
Duval County (Jacksonville, Fl) -- For Zoning CCG1, CCG2, wall signage allowed is 10% of store frontage (10% of storefront length x height of storefront).  Wall Signage must be facing the street or onsite paving (i.e. sidewalk, road, parking lot).  Ground Signage allowed cannot exceed 50 ft. in height, square footage allowed on face is equal to property road frontage but cannot exceed 300 sq. ft.  Multiple ground signs are allowed but must be at least 200 ft. apart.  Set back for ground signs is 10 ft. from property line.  For PUD Zoning the Planning Development code must be followed for that development.
Paperwork needed to apply for permits:
Ground and Wall Signage 1) Notarized letter from property owner or lessee allowing sign contractor to install signage.  2) Two copies of sign drawings showing details of construction and scaled drawings showing wall sign(s) on building.  For Ground Signs over 32 sq. ft., two stamped engineered drawings showing sign footing detail.  3) For illuminated signs, UL or ETL number(s).  4) Two copies of site plan or survey of property.  5) City of Jacksonville sign permit application and, if necessary, electrical permit application.
